Nintendo is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Kirby series. The game character by HAL Laboratory and Nintendo has been around since 1992. The video game series centers around the adventures of a young pink hero named Kirby. To celebrate the special date of our good boy, Kirby’s official Twitter posted a celebratory special illustration, as well as some exciting news to look forward to. Check the tweet below:
A special Kirby 30th anniversary website released a new logo and a special wallpaper that fans can download. It features Kirby’s various classic looks, moods, and powers from past titles. The website also teased that Kirby’s celebration will have many “goods and campaigns” coming soon. If you didn’t know, Kirby’s birthday is on April 27. Are you excited about Kirby’s amazing milestone? Lastly, Nintendo also confirmed Kirby and the Forgotten Land’s release date on Nintendo Switch this March 25. The upcoming game is currently open for pre-order.
Kirby is a character and game series by Masahiro Sakurai, HAL Laboratory, and Nintendo. The series follows the adventures of a young puff pink hero named Kirby who strives to restore peace in Dream Land. He is most known for his cute ball appearance and his fighting ability to inhale, inflate, fly. and copy the enemy’s abilities. Kirby‘s debut game is titled Kirby’s Dream Land and was released in 1992 on the original Game Boy console. Fast forward to the present, the Kirby series now includes over 30 games (spin-offs and cross-overs), making it one of Nintendo’s most popular and best-selling franchises. There is also a manga and anime adaption.
