No Game No Life series is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the light novel and a special key visual has been revealed to commemorate the milestone. Other than the light novel, the No Game No Life series also has a manga adaptation, which features story and art by Yu Kamiya and also art by Mashiro Hiiragi. The manga has been serialized since 2013. No Game No Life, Please! spin-off manga also exists, and it ran from 2015 to 2017.

The franchise received an anime adaptation in the spring of 2014 by studio MADHOUSE. The anime was highly successful and helped bring popularity to the series outside of Japan. The second season, although highly anticipated, has not been announced yet.

The series received criticism, due to its explicit portrayal of underage characters. Amazon pulled some volumes from its online store, while lawmakers in Australia demanded a ban on the books.
