ODDTAXI Anime Film Set for April 2022

After the previously started countdown, the official Twitter account for ODDTAXI has announced a new anime film for the franchise, set to release on April 1, 2022. The film’s title is ODDTAXI: In The Woods, and you can also check out a teaser visual for the movie:

Kazuya Konomoto is writing the script, after previously working on the TV anime as well. The movie will reconstruct the events that happened in the anime but also include events set after the finale. A teaser trailer for ODD TAXI: In the Woods is nowavailable:

The ODDTAXI TV anime is available on Crunchyroll and it has a total of 13 episodes. Streaming service describes the plot as:

This town should look familiar, but suddenly, it’s not. The taxi driver Odokawa lives a very mundane life. He has no family, doesn’t really hang out with others, and he’s an oddball who is narrow-minded and doesn’t talk much. The only people he can call his friends are his doctor, Gouriki and his classmate from high school, Kakibana. All of his patrons seem to be slightly odd themselves. The college student who wants to be noticed online, Kabasawa. A nurse with secrets, Shirakawa. A comedy duo, the Homosapiens… All these mundane conversations somehow lead to a girl who’s gone missing.

ODDTAXI was definitely a hidden gem masterpiece anime in Spring 2021, but it gradually became one of the highest-rated shows of the season. If you haven’t had the chance to, make sure to watch ODDTAXI before its anime film comes out!
