One Piece Film Red, the latest anime film from the One Piece series, released a trailer to announce that the film will finish showing in Japanese theaters on January 29, 2023. The film has earned ¥18.8 billion (≒$143 million) with 13 million moviegoers since its August 6 premiere, which made it the highest-grossing film with the biggest number of attendees in 2022. The new trailer features the theme song “New Genesis” by Ado and expresses their gratitude for the viewers’ support. Ado sang as Uta in the movie.

One Piece Film Red grossed over ¥2.25 billion (~$17 million) with 1.57 million attendees in the opening weekend in Japan, which made the biggest opening-weekend numbers when it comes to both the audience and earnings among films of 2022. It’s also the best-performing film in One Piece‘s history. The film released a commemorative illustration by the manga’s author Eiichiro Oda for the ¥18 billion (~$137 million) milestone on November 7. It’s screened worldwide and hit theaters in the US in early November. Box Office Mojo reported that the film grossed $9,475,251 in the opening weekend (November 4-6) in the country.
