Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me Episode 11 - Heart to Heart

Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 11 starts with Runa and Ryuto at the park, talking about everything that has been happening with their friends since the school festival. Runa mentions that Sekiya and Nikoru went on an aquarium date, and Nikoru is planning to win him over by being intimate with him. Meanwhile, Ryuto’s friend Ijichi is still depressed after being rejected by Tanikita; he has been skipping school a lot. Also, Nishina is feeling depressed as well. They both hope that the whole friend group decides to hang out again. While walking, Ryuto suggests that they should try more things together, but Runa softly rejects him, and they split ways after that.

It’s nice out there, just talking like normal. It feels like catching up because, in the last episode, they were on a rough patch, debating on breaking up. It’s refreshing to see them simply talking and experiencing a pleasant vibe instead of enduring a heavy, awkward conversation. Although they both feel a bit drifted apart, they still manage to maintain a stable conversation and express hopes for the best for each other. It’s admirable that they are very mature in how they feel about each other and how they can try to communicate without being too harsh. That’s what I enjoy about the show—the fact that they talk most of the time, avoiding prolonged miscommunication and at least making an effort to communicate

The next scene in Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 11 is at school, where Runa is talking with Tanikita, then Nikoru comes up to them with baggy eyes, and they look worried. She breaks the news that Sekiya broke it off with her. Ryuto and Nishina overhear them and are shocked by the news as well.

Later, Ryuto is at cram school with Sekiya, asking him why he broke it off with her. Sekiya explains that he knew she wanted to have sex with him, but he didn’t want to be so intimate with her because she was still in school. He wanted her to focus on studying more and not on their relationship because he knew that school was very important. That’s why he decided to break it off with her.

While this was happening, Runa and Nikoru were calling each other, both feeling broken because they had issues with their relationships. Back to Ryuto and Sekiya, while they were eating ramen, Sekiya asked Ryuto how he and Runa were since they were in a rough patch in their relationship. Ryuto says it’s pretty hard and he wishes things will get better soon. He also tells Sekiya that he would rather have only Runa than a bunch of female friends, which surprises Sekiya.

Later on, Ryuto heads home and bumps into Maria. They started to walk home together, but before they parted ways, he brought up that they shouldn’t be friends anymore. She agrees because it wouldn’t go well since he’s dating her twin sister and he used to like her. Many past things really affect the present. Before they parted ways, he also told her that she was his first love, and she said thank you. After that, Ryuto calls Runa, and a few seconds later, he hears Maria screaming from afar. He runs over to her and sees that she is getting assaulted. They go to the police, and while checking everything, Maria loses her earring in the process. After that, he tells Runa on the phone what happened, and she feels awful about it because no one should be treated like that. He then mentions that they should talk about why he decided to talk to Sekiya, but she suggests they talk on Saturday before his cram school.

I really like how Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 11 goes back and forth between the girls’ point of view and the guys’ point of view about their relationships because they both have different perspectives. They tell each other how they feel about their relationships with their friends. It’s nice to know that Ryuto is very loyal to Runa, and he said that he doesn’t need to be friends with any other females; he just needs her in his life. Throughout his life growing up, he wanted to experience new things just with her. Also, no girl should ever get assaulted like that in real life, so be aware while walking home by yourself in the dark.

Saturday finally came and Runa and Ryuto started their talk. Runa brought up the idea of breaking up, and it was hard because deep down, she knew she didn’t want to break up with Ryuto, who also didn’t want to break up with her. It was pretty silent until they saw couples around the park, having flashback conversations about how they wanted to create good memories and grow up together. They noticed a kid playing with a toy car, triggering flashbacks about how Runa wanted to have a lot of kids and be a good mother. This led to a deep conversation where they admitted they didn’t want to break up, experiencing a few minutes of silence as they realized their true feelings for each other. They resolved to strengthen their relationship, shedding tears in the process. Later, as they walked home, Runa apologized for causing Ryuto to miss one of his cram classes, but he reassured her that it was okay. They shared a kiss while the sun was setting.

Ryuto also apologized for being unable to help her become friends with Maria because he cut her off. Runa said it was okay and that instead of forming a friendship with Maria, she wanted to rebuild her sisterly relationship with her. She mentioned having a pair of earrings that she gave to Maria. It dawned on Ryuto that Maria lost her earrings the night she was assaulted. They went to find her earrings and successfully located them.

At school, Maria was selected for an English Composition National Excellence Award. Runa stood up and applauded, expressing her pride in her sister. The revelation that they were twins surprised everyone in the class. Maria confronted Runa about this unexpected support, and Runa explained that she did it because she wanted to. Runa also returned the earrings and told Maria she found them with Ryuto. They had a heart-to-heart conversation, expressing happiness at getting to see each other. Towards the end of the episode, some people started coming over and were shocked, but also sensed something was off between them.

You know, it’s not like a high school relationship where they break up for a few minutes and then come back together. It’s really nice how there wasn’t a big misunderstanding and they just talked it out. I liked that there was no heavy drama in this episode to stress me so much that I’d rip my hair out. I’m just surprised that the drama was very quick and instead of being stressed out, it felt very satisfying. However, I still don’t like Maria. I think I need more of her story to understand and figure out her thoughts, and why I need to somewhat like her as a character.

Episode 11 even made me cry, which surprised me, so you can see that this episode might be one of my favorites. I don’t usually cry at this stuff since I typically find it more amusing than emotional. But for some reason, I started crying my eyes out (talking to myself and wondering why I was) when Runa and Ryuto were crying. I think it’s because I thought it was so cute that they managed to have a heart-to-heart conversation. Episode 11 is the best so far in the series because of this conversation. People should really do that more often because it can save a lot of relationships. I feel like communication is very lacking nowadays, so this episode just goes to show that communication is the key to keeping relationships stable.

Overall, I think it was pretty good how they talked everything out and realized how they felt for each other. It’s very cute. Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me episode 11 made me feel so satisfied, so I give it a score of 9/10.
