If you heard about Japan and its Anime themed-manholes then get ready for the worldwide famous game franchise to make its debut in Miyagi! Miyagi Prefecture will be installing Pokemon Manholes!
Yes, you read that right! Asahi Shimbun has reported that the Miyagi prefecture will install Pokemon-themed manholes across 20 inland cities and towns! Mostly all of the covers show Miyagi’s Pokémon Support Ambassador, the water-type Pokemon Lapras! Furthermore, the project is part of the “PokeLids” project that aims to install manhole covers across all 47 prefectures in Japan! Also, each manhole acts as a PokeStop for all the Pokemon Go players out there! We can’t wait to see every Pokemon themed-manhole in Japan, especially those in Miyagi and their Lapras!
Additionally, the Pokemon Music Video for Bump of Chicken’s Acacia, has reached over 30 Million views on YouTube!
In addition, the Miyagi Governor Yoshihiro Murai said “Each one is the only manhole cover in the world. I hope everyone visits the locations.”
