Police in a Pod Anime Gets New Trailer and January 2022 Premiere

The upcoming anime Police in a Pod has received a new trailer, along with the cast information. The series will premiere in January 2022.

The trailer above features the anime’s opening song titled Shiranakya by Riko Azuna. In addition,, nonoc (Re:Zero S2 ending song) will perform the ending song titled Change. The trailer also features the anime’s main cast, Shion Wakayama (Mai Kawai) and Yui Ishikawa (Seiko Fuji).

Shimba Tsuchiya is joining the anime as Takeshi Yamada, while Kana Hanazawa will be voicing Miwa Makitaka. In addition, Ryota Suzuki will voice Seiji Minamoto

Police in a Pod is a Japanese manga series by Miko Yasu. Kodansha started publishing it in November 2017, and it currently has 17 volumes available.

Yuzu Sato (Kaiji) is directing the series, while Madhouse (Death Note) is animating.

Synopsis of the Story

Female police officer Kawai had enough of a career she wasn’t even that into and was about to hand in her registration, when the unthinkable happened—she met the new, female director of her station! And after spending a little time with this gorgeous role model, Kawai realizes that maybe she isn’t quite done being an officer after all.
