Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage Unveils New Trailer, Theme Songs

Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage TV anime revealed a new trailer along with the theme song information earlier today. The anime will premiere on April 13 and it will be broadcast weekly. It is a side story to the Ranking of Kings series. The new trailer features the scenes from the first season of the anime, as well as a few new ones:

According to the newly launched website, the plot will focus on Bocchi and Kage, as well as their friends and adventures. The theme songs are:

  • Opening: “GOLD” by PEOPLE 1
  • Ending: “Atemonaku” by Aimer

WIT Studio, which also worked on the first season of the TV anime, is returning to animate. The cast is reprising roles from the first season, with Minami Hinata as Boji and Ayumu Murase as Kage. The staff for the anime includes:

The Ranking of Kings anime is based on a manga by Sosuke Toka. Crunchyroll described the plot of the series as:
How prosperous your nation is, how many powerful warriors it boasts, and how heroic and strong its king is. These are the criteria that factor into the system known as the Ranking of Kings. The main character, Bojji, was born the first prince of the kingdom ruled by King Bossu, who is ranked number seven. But Bojji was born unable to hear and is so powerless that he can’t even swing a sword. In consequence, his own retainers and the public, look down upon him as completely unfit to be king. It is then that Bojji finds his first friend, Kage, and Bojji’s life takes a dramatic turn…
