The upcoming Reign of the Seven Spellblades anime adaptation has announced additional cast members. The anime is set to air this July, with studio J.C. Staff animating the series. The new cast additions include:
Previously-announced cast members for the anime include Shinsuke Sugawara as Guy Greenwood, Hitomi Oowada as Katie Aalto, Misuzu Yamada as Michela McFarlane, Yuka Nukui as Nanao Hibiya, Atsushi Tamaru as Oliver Horn and Ruhi Sugiyama as Pete Reston. A commemorative visual drawn by the illustrator Ruria Miyuki has been released, along with the new information:
Masato Matsune is directing the series, while Shogo Yasukawa is responsible for the series composition, and Sodai Suwa for the character designs. Meanwhile, Kujira Yumemi is composing the music, Yoshikazu Iwanami is the sound director, and Yusuke Sakamoto is the photography director.
Reign of the Seven Spellblades anime is based on a light novel series of the same name by Bokuto Uno and illustrated by Ruria Miyuki. The novel has been published by ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint since September 2018. It then received a manga adaptation with art by Sakae Esuno. Kadokawa’s Monthly Shonen Ace has been serializing the manga since May 2019.
Yen Press has licensed the manga in English, describing the plot as:
