Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3 anime has revealed the first main trailer, studio and staff, along with new cast members and an October 2024 premiere date. Studio WHITE FOX is animating, and you can watch the new trailer below.
Masahiro Shinohara will direct at WHITE FOX, with Haruka Sagawa as the character designer. Aya Yamane joined the voice cast as Liliana Masquerade. You can find the full staff and cast list at the bottom of the article.
Lilina Masquerade introduction:
A bard and “songstress” of Pristella.
Her singing voice, accompanied by the tune of a musical instrument called the lulile, never fails to captivate the hearts of those who listen to her.
In contrast to her brilliant singing, she is a high-spirited girl with somewhat erratic behavior.
As a celebrity fanatic, she gets star struck easily.
Hoping to sing of a new heroic tale, she half-forcefully cooperates with Subaru, asking him to tell her about the defeat of the Three Mabeast and the Sin Archbishop of Witch Cult.
Her voice actress Aya Yamane also left a comment regarding the announcement.
I’m Aya Yamane and I will be playing the role of Liliana!
My favorite parts of Re:ZERO are how the story unfolds so that it always betrays the viewers’ expectations – kind of like “Return by Death?! Here!?” – and how each character’s past is so vividly depicted that you find yourself falling in love with each one of them.
I am very honored to be able to immerse myself into the world of such a wonderful title!
Liliana is a girl who makes her living as a bard.
Bright and intense, with a strong sense of herself, I will try my best to convey her charm through my acting and singing! Thank you very much for your continued support!
The announcement came at the show’s Anime Japan 2024 stage, which was attended by Yusuke Kobayashi (Subaru), Rie Takahashi (Emilia), Satomi Arai (Beatrice), Kohei Amsaki (Otto Suwen) and Nobuhiko Okamoto (Garfiel). The anime released a visual featuring Subaru, Beatrice and Emilia last month.
The original novel by Tappei Nagatsuki has been ongoing on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website since April 2012. The light novel version with illustrations by Shin’ichiro Otsuka began in January 2014 and is also still ongoing. The series received an anime adaptation by studio White Fox in 2016, running for 25 episodes from April to September.
A 2nd season followed in 2020, running for 2 parts. Part 1 aired from July to September 2020, while Part 2 aired from January to March 2021. The series also received 2 OVA episodes, as well as a series of shorts by Studio Puyukai titled Re:Zero − Starting Break Time From Zero and Re:Petit − Starting Life in Another World from Petit. Crunchyroll streams the anime.
Official season 3 synopsis:
A year has passed since the liberation of “The sanctuary”, where Subaru Natsuki defeated Elsa and fulfilled his contract with Beatrice in the battle against the Great Rabbits.
Emilia camp was united as they faced the royal election, and Subaru Natsuki was living a fulfilling life, but the peace and quiet came to an end with a single letter delivered by a messenger.
The letter was from Anastasia, one of the candidates for the royal selection, to invite Emilia to the Watergate City of Priestella, one of the five largest cities in Lugunica.
Accepting the invitation, Subaru and his party set off for Priestella, where a variety of reunions awaited them.
One unexpected, one unintended, and one to come.
The stirrings of malice writhing beneath the surface of the water and an unprecedented crisis loom over them.
Once again, the boy faces a cruel fate.
The new action-packed Re:ZERO Season 3 trailer is exciting, and the show joins Trillion Game, Gun Gale Online Season 2 for the Fall 2024 anime season.
