A new teaser for Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Gekitotsu (season 3) has been revealed by the official Twitter account for the series. What’s more, the next installment in the LotG: Die Neue These will be available in Japanese theaters as a trilogy. Each part will premiere in theaters on March 4, April 1, and May 13, 2022, and the tickets will cost 1,900 yen (~US$17).
Die Neue These is the second anime adaptation of the original novel by Yoshiki Tanaka. The 1980’s novel had 10 volumes. The first anime adaptation started in 1988 and consisted of 110 episodes. Later on, studio Production I.G produced a new adaptation called Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These. It consists of a 12 episode long anime series and 3 movies (season 2). Gekitotsu will be the 3rd season in the Production I.G’s adaptation.
