The Shokugeki no Souma anime finally ends today after over 5 years. On the other hand, the manga ended about a year ago on August 29. 2019, but it left a bad taste in the mouths of the fans due to ending without any kind of a romantic conclusion. A lot of the readers were disappointed, with some even choosing to completely boycott the final season of the anime because of it. However, according to the franchise’s official Twitter account, there is a chance that the Shokugeki no Souma anime will have an original ending. They teased it in the tweet below:
It says: “Finally, the anime ends on the next episode! We are sure you’ll enjoy a different flavor than the source material and hope you look forward to the broadcast next week.” The fans take this as a hint that the anime will have a different ending as compared to the manga.

It was previously adapted into four anime seasons by the J.C. Staff studio. The fifth and final season premiered on July 3 and its last episode airs today, September 25. It introduced some new mechanisms for cooking, which also caused mixed reactions in the fanbase.
