The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Episode 4 Preview Released

Preview for episode 4 of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten anime has been released. The new episode will air on January 28 at 22:30 (JST). Kenichi Imaizumi is directing the anime at studio Project No.9.

The new episode picks up right after the cliffhanger of episode 3, when Itsuki Akasawa and Chitose Shirakawa discover that Mahiru Shiina is the “angel” neighbor of Amane Fujimiya. They take interest in Amane and Mahiru’s relationship, which both deny exists. Chitose, who is fond of cute things, takes a liking to Mahiru and they become best friends.

The next day, Amane notices that Mahiru has gotten sick because of the cold weather last night. He then pleads with Mahiru to stay at home and decides to take care of her. In a way, Amane thinks this is a way to repay Mahiru’s kindness. Seeing this, Mahiru is relieved and grateful for Amane’s concern.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten anime is based on a light novel series written by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto. It is currently published by SB Creative, and is still running since June 2019. It then received a manga adaptation with art by Wan Shibata in January 2022, published under Square Enix. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime outside of Japan.

Yen Press is publishing the light novel in English, describing it as:
Mahiru is a beautiful girl whose classmates all call her an “angel.” Not only is she a star athlete with perfect grades—she’s also drop-dead gorgeous. Amane‚ an average guy and self-admitted slob‚ has never thought much of the divine beauty‚ despite attending the same school. Everything changes, however‚ when he happens to see Mahiru sitting alone in a park during a rainstorm. Thus begins the strange relationship between this incredibly unlikely pair!
