The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 Casts Reina Ueda and Yuka Iguchi

The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 revealed two additional cast members on Tuesday: Reina Ueda as Yurine Hanzawa and Yuka Iguchi as Kanna Andou. The two characters have already appeared in the second season’s main visual. The second season is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.

Studio Shin-Ei Animation returns to animate The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 with Hiroaki Akagi as director. Jukki Hanada is writing the scripts, Masato Katsumata is the character designer, and Kensuke Ushio is composing the music. The band Atarayo will perform the opening theme song titled “Boku wa…,” while singer Kohana Lam, who previously performed the ending theme song “Suu Sentimental” for the anime’s first season, returns to sing the ending theme song “Koi Shiteru Jibun Sura Aiserunda.” The main cast also reprises their roles:

  • Hina Yomiya as Anna Yamada
  • Shun Horie as Kyotaro Ichikawa
  • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Shou Adachi
  • Aki Toyosaki as Honoka Hara
  • Yukari Tamura as Kana Ichikawa
  • Gen Satou as Kenta Kanzaki
  • Ayaka Asai as Chihiro Kobayashi
  • Megumi Han as Moeko Sekine
  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Haruya Nanjou
  • Jun Fukushima as Chikara Ota

HIDIVE and Bilibili are streaming the first season of the anime, which premiered in April this year, and the latter describes the series as follows:
Kyoutaro Ichikawa may have the appearance of a typical middle schooler, but his heart is filled with murderous fantasies. It is therefore not surprising that Anna Yamada, the class idol, is constantly on his thoughts as the person he wants to kill the most. He unintentionally starts a meeting with Yamada while reading alone in his favorite school library, and she shows up to sneakily feast on her favorite candies and sweets. Ichikawa learns how much of a ditz Yamada is via their conversations and is forced to cheer her on from the sidelines. Yamada herself can’t help but tease Ichikawa nonstop because of his agitated responses. The distant connection between the two deepens into something more than just library acquaintances as a result of a variety of touching daily interactions. Ichikawa might eventually understand that his violent fantasies have changed into something quite else.

I can talk about seiyuus for days. A connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things and fluffy romance stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side.
