Season 2 of The Fire Hunter anime has received a new trailer, as well as details on its theme songs. The opening theme song is titled “Hikarakka” and will be performed by Cocco. Meanwhile, the ending theme is “Dakishimete” and will be sung by Maaya Sakamoto, who also voices Akira in the series. Studio.MD is animating the series, and is set to air on January 14 next year. Initial details on the anime’s second season were released in October this year, with the staff and cast returning for the sequel. The first season of The Fire Hunter aired from January to March this year with 10 episodes. Junji Nishimura directed the series with Mamoru Oshii doing both the series composition and scriptwriting. Takuya Saito designed the characters, and he also served as the chief animation director alongside Kazuchika Kise and Toshihisa Kaiya.

The Fire Hunter is a fantasy novel series written by Rieko Hinata and illustrated by Akihiro Yamada. Holp Shuppan has published four volumes between December 2018 and September 2020. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime outside of Asia, describing the plot as:
