The Promised Neverland Episode 5 premiered on February 4, 2021, and it was intense! We witnessed a time-skip as children had to change their safe house due to the raid that happened in the previous episode. If you didn’t watch the episode yet, beware, you’ll find spoilers below.
As we can see, even though their situation isn’t the best, kids are still happy to be free. They have been living in a run-down temple for 6 months while trying their best to survive. Not only that, they also managed to disguise themselves as demons and head over to the nearby demon town in order to get more food. The show also explores some of the issues that demons have. We realize that they are not the bad guys here, they have their own problems and it’s just in their nature to eat human meat.
Unfortunately, during one of their ventures, two demons realize that the kids are actually disguised as demons and decide to chase them. As kids were escaping, we can see some demons saving them from being caught. To our surprise, among those demons was Norman. Why was he with demons? I guess we’ll have to find out in future episodes of The Promised Neverland.
