The upcoming The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent Season 2 has unveiled a new visual on Monday, alongside an October premiere date for the sequel. The visual features the main character Sei Takanashi, and you can check it out below.
Studio Diomedea is returning to animate season 2 of The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent, with Shota Ibata as director. Wataru Watari is writing the script, while Masakazu Ishikawa is handling the character designs. Voice actress Yui Ishikawa is also reprising her role as the main protagonist Sei Takanashi. A teaser trailer for season 2 was released last year. The first season premiered in April 2021 with 12 episodes in total.
The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent anime is adapted from the light novel series written by Yuka Tachibana and illustrated by Yasuyuki Syuri. The serialization of the light novel began in 2016 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website and Kadokawa published the first volume in February 2017. A manga adaptation by Fujiazuki was launched on the ComicWalker website in July 2017.
Seven Seas Entertainment is licensing both the light novel and manga in English and they describe the latter as:
Sei, a 20-year-old office worker, is whisked away to a whole new world. Unfortunately for Sei, the ritual that summoned her–meant to produce a “Saint” who would banish the dark magic–brought two people over instead of one. And everyone prefers the second girl over Sei?! But this is just fine by Sei, who leaves the royal palace to set up shop making potions and cosmetics with her newfound magic. Business is booming, and this might not be such a bad life, after all…as long as her supposed Sainthood doesn’t come back to haunt her.
