TK from Ling Tosite Sigure is the performer of the opening theme song for My Hero Academia Season 7. Details about the song will be revealed at a later date, as the new season of the anime begins broadcasting on May 4. TK, whose name is Toru Kitajima, commented on the upcoming release:
I have no personality, no talent, and I am too far from being a hero, but I kept thinking about what I could create for my art. The theme of this song was born the moment a soap bubble flew in front of me, reflecting the rainbow colors so vividly that it disappeared, leaving its outline on the concrete. Is this battle, which continues with deprivation and even pain, for oneself or someone else? May the brightness that shines through the tattered world be engraved with this song.
This is the first piece of information that has been revealed regarding the My Hero Academia Season 7 theme songs. Studio BONES is animating the series, with Kenji Nagasaki as the chief director and Naomi Nakayama as the director. Yosuke Kuroda is in charge of the series composition. Hitomi Udashima and Yoshihiko Umakoshi are the character designers. Yuki Hayashi is once again composing the music. A special four-episode My Hero Academia Memories series will broadcast from April 6 to April 27.
TK from Ling Tosite Sigure is known in the anime community as the mind behind many anisongs, created both with Ling Tosite Sigure and solo. As a solo artist, he is probably best known as the performer of the Tokyo Ghoul theme song, “unravel” and Tokyo Ghoul:re’s theme song “katharsis.” With the band, he performed theme songs for the Psycho-Pass franchise. He recently produced the krage’s Solo Leveling ending theme song.
