The upcoming anime film To Every You I’ve Loved Before (Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e) has unveiled a teaser trailer. It is set to premiere in Japan on October 7 this year. It is a parallel film alongside To The Solitary Me That Loved You (Kimi wo Aishita Hitori no Boku e), set to premiere on the same date.
The film will be directed by Atsushi Matsumoto, and animated by Bakken Record. Riko Sakaguchi is responsible for the screenplay for both films, and shimano responsible for the character design concepts. Both film adaptations are based on the sci-fi romance novels by Yomiji Otono, published in 2016. A joint key visual was unveiled for both anime films on May this year.
Both novels currently have a combined 280,00 copies in circulation. Hayakawa Shobo published the To Every You I’ve Loved Before novel, and describes the plot as follows:
A world where it has been proven that people swing between slightly different parallel worlds on a daily basis… After his parents’ divorce, Koyomi Takasaki, who lives with his mother, enters a local high school. However, he is suddenly approached by his classmate Kazune Takigawa. She says that she has moved from the 85th world and that Koyomi and Kazune are lovers there… Is himself in the parallel world himself in this world?
