To Your Eternity Opening Theme By Hikaru Utada Exceeds 1 Million Views in a Day

Hikaru Utada‘s opening theme for the currently airing “To Your Eternity” anime, “Pink Blood”, exceeded over 1 million views in just a day. After all the wait we finally received a full version of the opening theme of “To Your Eternity”. The music video for the song is available on YouTube since June 1, 2021.

Hikaru Utada’s previous song, “One Last Kiss“, managed to gather over 35 million plays on YouTube alone in just 3 months. It was a theme song for the latest Evangelion movie.

“To Your Eternity” is a currently airing anime that, as of the moment of writing of this article, has 8 episodes.

What’s more, the anime will have 20 episodes. In case you didn’t know, “To Your Eternity” is an anime adaptation of the manga series written by Yoshitoki Ōima. It follows the story of a mysterious orb sent to Earth. It has no identity nor emotions, but through time it learns to take different forms. One day, it acquires the form of a boy and gains consciousness. The boy, Fushi, sets off to travel in search of new experiences, places, and people. “The journey begins.”

We’ll see if “To Your Eternity” opening theme will manage to surpass the theme of “Evangelion 3.0+1.0”, which also managed to pass 1 million plays on the first day.
