Tomoaki Maeno Shows Off His Genshin Impact Account, Complains About Lack of Mora

Tomoaki Maeno, the Japanese voice of Zhongli in Genshin Impact, managed to level all of his characters to 90, but has found himself short on Mora. Maeno is an avid player who owns every single character released so far. He often streams himself playing the game and he even owns constellations, including a C6 Zhongli, along with multiple 5* weapons.

Finally [level] 90 for all characters. I thought I could work on the artifacts for a while now, but still no mora. Someone pay for the Mora!” Maeno wrote. Mora is an in-game gold currency, used for crafting, and leveling characters, weapons, and artifacts). The running joke within the Genshin community is that Zhongli is always broke, in spite of being a god of Mora, and that he always has Childe foot the bill. Childe’s voice actor, Ryohei Kimura, recently did a few gaming streams with Maeno on Genshin Impact’s Japanese YouTube channel, while joking about picking up Zhongli’s tab. Maeno also shared screenshots of his fully levelled characters:

Genshin Impact is a gacha game, developed and published by miHoYo. The game revolves around a player looking for their lost twin while traveling through the nation of Tevyat. During their travels, the player meets a number of characters who range from regular people to gods, known as Archons. Zhongli is a Geo Archon, a god that resides over Liyue, a nation of contracts.

In addition to Zhongli in Genshin Impact, Tomoaki Maeno is also known for voicing Decim in Death Parade anime, Han Son in Yona of the Dawn, Juichi in Yowamushi Pedal, and more. He is married to Mikako Komatsu and they are expecting their first child.
