On 28 October 2020, Netflix has shared its first look at the anime adaptation of TRESE, a graphic novel written by no other than Filipino writer Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo. The comic series started way back in December 2015 and up to now, the staff is still continuing the adventure! With a mix of horror and crime inside its story, remarkable graphics and a gripping plot, this comic series sure deserve its own anime adaptation!
The TRESE series’ anime adaptation will be produced by BASE Entertainment with Jay Oliva as the Executive Producer and Director. Shanty Harmayn and Tanya Yuson will also be joining the crew as producers. Netflix also announced that the series is slated to premiere in 2021 so better mark your calendar!
Fun fact: Jay Oliva is an American-Filipino storyboard artist, film producer, and animated film director!
