Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Episode 2 – New Companions

“Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” episode 2 is out with another hilarious adventure! This isekai is definitely becoming one of my fun watches this summer. I’m very excited because the opening sequence is really lively and catchy. The episode is titled, “Black Spider of Disaster.”

My favorite part about new shows is the early beginnings of how our protagonist meets his companions. The great dragon Shen, who is now Makoto’s first companion, is full of energy! Plus, her personality and abilities are interesting! She can manipulate space, read people’s minds, and specializes in illusions.

Building a City the World has Never Seen

After the orcs celebrate Makoto, they take on Shen’s offer to live in their sanctuary – the misty demiplane! The sanctuary is filled with healthy air, good fruit, and fertile land. It’s actually smart to create a life and civilization away from the prying eyes of the mean goddess. The appearance of a chibi Shen is a fun surprise too. Plus, I can’t help but find Emma just adorable for wanting to support Makoto in his journeys.

New Goals

Aside from Shen looking after Makoto, the Orcs, and the entire Demi Space, she also finds time for her new favorite pastime – watching Japanese Historical Drama! It is both amazing and funny how she has to record Makoto’s memories to watch them though. Just like how Makoto wants to follow in his parents’ footsteps, Shen also wants to find a separate television for herself.

Makoto’s Magic

One of the things I’m really fascinated about is Makoto’s magic abilities. Animation and lore-wise, it’s really cool. Though he is still a beginner, he legit looks like a real magician. I’m thrilled to hear the short analysis part too. Is he an OP character in the making? Makoto definitely has the Tsukuyomi god to thank for.

Suddenly, his abilities are tested when a fearsome (and weird) spider monster appears! “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” episode 2 serves another battle scene! Makoto skillfully performs his magic, and it’s just amazing to watch. However, he gets gruesomely hurt. I also didn’t expect him to unlock that “shounen power,” but Makoto’s aura completely changes.

At first, I thought it was cringe, but seeing Makoto mad was really cool and chilling. Plus, the shower of attacks was very satisfying to watch. I guess we shouldn’t underestimate him (or this show) anymore.

Joining Team Makoto

Makoto is actually really strong! And apparently, the spider is here for it. It turns out she’s a masochist for Makoto’s powerful magic, and now she wants to serve him. Although Makoto falls unconscious, it is Shen who forms the contract in her master’s stead. In contrast to the dragon’s appearance, the spider turns into a dark-haired lady. Is this a rivalry coming? An interesting turn of events!

An Amusing Second Episode

“Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” episode 2 is definitely a fun and light watch. Makoto’s party is growing! It’s nice to see him gain new companions in his journey. It’s also a fun idea that they’ll be building their own city soon.

Overall, I’m enjoying the journey so far. The subtle comical moments, the character developments, the magic – all of them are interesting! The humor and battle scenes in this episode are just delightful and entertaining.

Personally, seeing overpowered protagonists win their epic battles is one of my joys in life. I am honestly amazed by not only Makoto’s magic, but also the entire visual execution. I’m really excited to see the plot move forward. Who will we meet next?

Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy follows Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school student living a regular life. Suddenly, he is summoned to another world to become a Hero. The goddess, however, insults him and casts him off to the edge of the world! As he wanders the wilderness, Makoto encounters dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and all sorts of non-human tribes. In this fantasy, Makoto tries to make a better world despite the humans and gods having turned their backs on him.
