Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Episode 4 – Tomoe and Mio's Strength

“Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” episode 4 is out! Makoto explores the human town with Tomoe and Mio and honestly, it’s a delightful watch! I honestly had a fun time and had some really loud laughs. Tomoe and Mio are too strong. The episode is titled, “Too Late.”

Makoto shows kindness to a young girl named Rinon who asks for help in finding her missing sister. Meanwhile, Tomoe engages in a very one-sided battle with some suspicious people. It’s definitely a fishy town. Makoto shifts once again to an angry, scary, and serious demeanor. It frightens Mio a bit, but I’m definitely here for it.

While Tomoe and Mio look for Rinon’s sister, Makoto goes around town selling fruits (a gold mine!). We also discover that Rinon is actually pressured by the mean and suspicious adventurers. It’s terrible to see Rinon and her sister’s suffering. However, Tomoe and Mio instantly save her dying sister. That dramatic build-up and drop were playfully quick.

I was curious to find out how Tomoe and Mio’s rivalry would work out. I guess I got my answer in this episode! The bad guys arrive acting smug and eventually insult their “Level 1 Master”. Dun-dun-dun!! Oh boy, the ladies start pulling their kimono sleeves up…

This top adventurer definitely didn’t know what was in store for him and his lackeys. This is my favorite moment in “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” episode 4. At first, the two ladies “hold back,” but they eventually wipe out everyone with their frightening skills. Then, they start arguing about who defeated more, which ends up in the entire village’s destruction! They’re indeed very powerful but their personalities are so silly.

Hands down, Mio’s face slap is the best part. I literally wheezed and laughed out loud! It’s such a comical, perfect, and satisfying scene. In the end, the sisters have a tearful reunion. It’s not exactly confirmed why she has the same face as Hasegawa, but for now, we know that it’s just pure coincidence.

Makoto’s personality is always so calm and kind, but now we know now that he can shift into a more intense mood too. It’s actually really cool. Plus, that Investigative Kai is amazing! He wasn’t part of the action in this episode though. But, after seeing Tomoe and Mio’s destructive power, it was hilarious to see Makoto simply fling them to the sky to reflect on their actions! That’s the “Level 1 Master” for you.

Once again, this is another entertaining episode. “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy’s” comedy is such a gem. Plus, the opening and ending sequences are so cool and fun! Tomoe and Mio’s characters are also so charming and are really growing on me. I can’t wait to see what Makoto will do next.
