The previously announced anime adaptation of Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister unveiled the first visual and staff information on Friday. The anime is slated to premiere in 2024, with Drive as the studio. Check out the new visual below:
Yujiro Abe (Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!) is directing the anime at Drive (To Your Eternity Season 2), with Hiroshi Watanabe (Meganebu!) as assistant director. Yasuko Aoki (My Tiny Senpai) is doing the series composition and Haruka Iizuka (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) is designing the characters.
Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister (Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi) is a manga series written and illustrated by Marcey Naito, who previously worked as Negi Haruba’s (The Quintessential Quintuplets) assistant. Tying the Knot manga began its serialization in April 2021 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and it currently has 11 volumes in circulation with the 12th volume releasing on October 17.
Kodansha USA has been publishing the series in English since February 2022 and they described the story as follows:
Uryu Kamihate has had a rough start to life, but plans to forget it all by achieving his dream—matriculating into medical school. But when he arrives at his new foster home, a working shrine, his dream of a quiet place to study goes up in smoke. Not only will he be living with the three beautiful, lively Amagami sisters—but he learns that he must marry one of them and take over the temple!
