When Will Ayumu Make His Move Finale Reveals Preview

The preview images for the finale of When Will Ayumu Make His Move have been revealed. Episode 12 (finale) continues where it left off with Ayumu getting a phone call from Urushi. As usual, the two play shogi together even when they are far away from each other. After returning from her school trip, Urushi then gets challenged by Ayumu to another game of shogi to determine whether he will confess or not. Will Ayumu finally make his move in the finale?

The final episode will be broadcast on September 23 in Japan and will be available on HIDIVE and Bilibili overseas.

The anime is adapted from the manga by the author of Teasing Master Takagi-san and In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, Soichiro Yamamoto. Studio Silver Link is producing the series, with Mirai Minato as the director. Other staff includes Hitomi Mieno as a scriptwriter, Kazuya Hirata as the character designer, and Shun Narita as the music composer. The main cast includes Kanna Nakamura as Urushi Yaotome and Youhei Azakami as Ayumu Tanaka.

Bilibili describes the plot of the series as:
Ayumu just fell in love at first sight with Urushi and joined the illegitimate Shogi Club! But Ayumu has vowed not to confess his feelings until he can best Urushi, and he has a long wAyumu Tanaka, a first-year high school student, and Urushi Yaotome, a second-year student, are members of the shogi club. Ayumu vows to confess his feelings to Urushi, his senpai after he manages to defeat her in a game of shogi, but he is a beginner at the game and Urushi always beats him. Meanwhile, Urushi keeps trying to get Ayumu to admit that he likes her, but Ayumu never allows his poker face to slip.
