WIT Studio is celebrating its 10th anniversary on June 1 of this year with a special exhibition titled “WIT STUDIO 10th Aim Higher”. Tetsuya Nakatake, a production manager and the studio’s director, stated that he wants to “make a better animation with everyone who supports them” in a comment shared on the official Twitter.
A special exhibition visual that features WIT Studio’s most recent works has been revealed. The exhibit will offer fans an opportunity to experience the works created by the studio once again. The exhibit is set to open on May 27 and will be held at the PARCO Factory event venue in Tokyo.
WIT Studio was founded by George Wada in 2012. Wada, who is a former Production I.G employee, is currently the president of the studio which is a subsidiary of IG Port. The studio gained recognition after animating the first three seasons of the adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga. They went on to animate Hoozuki’s Coolheadedness (2015), Seraph of the End (2015), Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (2016), The Ancient Magus’ Bride (2017), Vinland Saga (2019), Great Pretender (2020), Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song (2021) and Ranking of Kings (2021), among others. Their most recent TV anime are SPY x FAMILY (in collaboration with studio CloverWorks) and Onipan, both of which are airing this season. In addition to these two, an original movie Bubble, directed by Tetsuro Araki, is set to premiere later this month.
