For those who are not aware, ‘Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon’ is the sequel of Rumiko Takahashi’s popular manga titled ‘InuYasha’. It has an anime adaptation that aired from year 2000 until 2004 with a total 167 episodes. Then, it’s continuation titled ‘Inuyasha: The Final Act’ aired from 2009 to 2010 with a total of 16 episodes.
With that in mind, the staff who worked on the ‘InuYasha’ anime reunites again to create a new feudal fairy tale story. Katsuyuki Sumisawa (Dragon Ball Series) made the series composition. Likewise, Rumiko Takahashi returns as the character designer. Studio Sunrise (who also took care of InuYasha) is in charge of its animation.
The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time! Towa and Setsuna are Half-demon twins and separated by a forest fire in feudal Japan.
Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.
The tunnel reopened after ten years allowing Towa to go back to her time, as well as reunite again with her sister who is now a demon slayer and working under the supervision of Kohaku.
But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.
