KANA-BOON is performing the opening theme “Song of the Dead” while Shiyui is singing the ending theme, titled “Happiness of the Dead.” Maguro Taniguchi, guitarist and vocalist of KANA-BOON, commented on the song:
“I’d always hoped to one day work on something with zombies, and now my dream has come true. (I’ve always had a thing for zombies…)
There’s something about Zom 100’s story that really spoke to me. It was that important question: how to best have fun in life? We all have responsibilities, things we have to do, but the most important thing is that you’re doing something you actually like, that you’re having fun with it. And I definitely had my share of fun making the “Song of the Dead”. I hope the song adds to the anime, and that it gives you a burst of energy, the power to live life to the fullest, and to have fun while doing it!”
Shiyui commented on the ending theme:
“Hi everyone, I’m Shiyui, singer/songwriter of the ending theme for Zom 100. I think “Happiness of the Dead” fits the ups and downs of this big dventure. Like those moments when you don’t know whether you should laugh or cry. Like discovering happiness can come in small packages. Tragedy and comedy, all rolled into one. Enjoy.”
