Ado just announced her first-ever world tour, titled “Wish”. The young Japanese rising star, who just celebrated her 21st birthday, will be performing for the first time outside Japan, after finishing two successful nationwide tours in Japan. The international tour will be happening from February to April 2024. You can watch the official announcement below:
Ado is a Japanese singer who made her debut in 2020, at the age of 17. Her debut single “Ussewa” peaked at number 1 on Billboard Japan Hot 100, Oricon Digital Singles Chart, and the Oricon Streaming Chart. The music video for Ussewa went viral and at the time of writing, it has accumulated over 296 million views. Since then, Ado released her first album Kyougen in January 2022 and performed as Uta in the One Piece Film Red and Sountrack. Her most recent song is the opening for the second season of Spy x Family: Ado’s “New Genesis,” which was used as the theme song for the anime film One Piece Film: Red, topped Apple Music’s Global Top 100 charts.
We are yet to have detailed information on locations and ticketing for Ado’s upcoming world tour. For reference, her first nationwide live tour Shinkiro was held for 10 performances in six different locations throughout Japan from December 2022 to January 2023. Her second and latest tour Mars was held from June 2023 to September 2023 for 14 performances in eleven different locations across Japan.
