All Netflix Festival Japan 2021 Anime Announcements

The first day of Netflix Festival Japan 2021 was dedicated to anime, and it truly delivered many amazing announcements, as well as some interesting panels. We’ve compiled a list of all the anime announcements, along with some basic information about the series in question.

Some of these we knew about previous Netflix announcements, while others came as a complete surprise. So without any further ado, let’s dive right in!

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh – Part 1

The Seven Deadly Sins franchise is getting another movie. The Grudge of Edinburgh is set after the events of the original series will focus on Tristan. The movie will have 2 parts, and the first one is coming to Netflix worldwide in 2022. They are also fully CGI.

Kakegurui Twin

Kakegurui spin-off anime, Kakegurui Twin, is coming in August 2022. The story takes place before Jabami arrives at the academy. Read more about the prequel here.

JoJo Part 8: STONE OCEAN

Netflix Festival was big for the upcoming Stone Ocean anime adaptation. Four new trailers were revealed, along with new characters designs and the airing schedule. The first 12 episodes of the anime will be available worldwide on December 1st.

Vampire in the Garden

A world in which vampires and humans can co-exist is the basic premise of WIT Studio’s newest title. A key visual is now also available, and you can read more about the Vampire in the Garden anime here.

One cold winter, humanity lost its battle with the vampires, and with it, most of where they called home. A small population of survivors created a wall of light in a small town to protect them and give them a place to live in peace.  The protagonist, Momo, lives a repressed life but still wishes to coexist with the enemy, the vampires. Fine, the vampire queen, once loved humans and disappeared from the battlefield. As war rages through the humans’ town, the two have a fateful encounter. Once upon a time, humans and vampires lived in harmony in a place called Paradise. This is the story of a young girl and a vampire on a journey to find Paradise.
