The anime adaptation of the award-winning Filipino comic Trese is now premiering on Netflix. The series was first released in the US on June 10, 2021, while the global release followed on June 11, 2021. In addition, Base Entertainment produced the series under the direction of Jay Oliva.

Trese is an award-winning Filipino comic written by Budjette Tan and illustrated by Kajo Baldisimo. It illustrates the story of a detective specializing in dealing with crimes of supernatural origin – Alexandra Trese.
Moreover, it was first published independently by Alamat Comics in the ashcan and online format. Additionally, Visprint Inc. is publishing the series in a collected, graphic novel form.
Fun fact: An ashcan comic is a non-commercial American comic book that was originally made to establish trademarks on potential titles.
