Ansatsu Kizoku Now Top Netflix Show in Japan, Surpassing Squid Game

The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat is currently the top on Netflix in Japan surpassing the Korean drama series Squid Game. Another seasonal and Netflix original Komi Can’t Communicate ranked 3rd while Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc ranked 6th.

The author of the light novel the anime is based on, Rui Tsukiyo, tweeted to celebrate the success of the adaptation.

Cast and Production

The cast of The World’s Finest Assassin includes Kenji Akabane as the main character Lugh along with Reina Ueda as Dia. Meanwhile, Yūki Takada is voicing Tarte while Shino Shimoji voices Maha.

Masafumi Tamura is directing The World’s Finest Assassin at SILVER LINK and studio palette. Satoshi Motonaga is producing the series. Katsuhiko Takayama is writing the script while Eri Nagata is in charge of the character design.

The World’s Finest Assassin Light Novel

The first volume of Rui Tsukiyo’s light novel was published on February 1, 2019, and it currently has 6 volumes. There is also a manga adaptation by Hamao Sumeragi which has 2 volumes so far.

When a great assassin is reborn in another world, he finds himself the heir to a long line of killers from the shadows. With both his modern-day knowledge and experience and the special magic and techniques of this new world, he could very well become the most unstoppable assassin in history…!
