Kyoji Asano drew an illustration to commemorate the theatrical release of WIT Studio’s Bubble movie that features Uta but also Anya from Spy x Family. Spy x Family is currently airing and being animated by WIT Studio, in collaboration with studio CloverWorks.
Asano has worked on both titles. He was credited as the main animator on Bubble, while also receiving credit as a chief animation director on episodes 3 and 5 of Spy x Family. In the past, he worked on titles such as Attack on Titan, Great Pretender, PSYCHO-PASS, and more. He recently drew a Blu-ray/DVD jacket cover for the Attack on Titan OAD archive. He had his directorial debut in a music video for Uchikubigokumon-Doukoukai’s song “Sakugasaku” in 2020.
Bubble premiered on Netflix in April of this year. The movie is also getting a theatrical release in Japan that started on May 13. WIT Studio’s Tetsuro Araki directed the movie, which is set in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo where parour has become a way to live. A talented young man meets a mysterious girl, who might not be human…
Spy x Family is currently airing, with the 6th episode set to premiere today. The plot follows a spy, whose code name is Twilight. He is tasked with fulfilling a mission that requires him to create a fake family so he decides to adopt a child and find a wife. However, the child he adopted is a telepath, while the wife is an assassin.
