The upcoming Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable game has been delayed from the winter of 2023 to the latter half of 2024. CEO of the game’s developer Univrs, Keigo Fujikawa, announced this on November 28, 2023, in a statement:
“We have decided to postpone the release date of Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable once again. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to those who have been looking forward to the game as well as to everyone involved. To deliver the highest quality product to players around the world, we need a little more time to complete it. All of us at UNIVRS will continue to work hard to bring you a VR title that you will enjoy even more. We are striving to make Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable more exciting for all of you who are waiting for it, and we appreciate your continued patience.”
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable is a hunting action game that comes in single and two-player modes, and supports sitting, standing, and roomscale play. The game will be available on the Meta gaming store, and will support the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3 devices. The game’s original release date was summer 2023 before a delay had pushed it to winter. The official synopsis is:
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable is set to welcome new players to join the Scout Regiment in the latter half of 2024. Players can expect an exhilarating flying experience with their ODM Gear in the game, thanks to UNIVRS’ anti-motion sickness technology. This feature will also help bring the thrilling cross-range combat against killer Titans to life. The game can be played in either single-player mode or two-player co-op mode, providing an immersive gameplay experience. AoT fans will be pleased to know that the game will be available in both Japanese and English subbed and dubbed versions, with actors from the titular anime reprising their roles.
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable is based on the Attack on Titan franchise. The manga written by Hajime Isayama was published from September 2009 to April 2021 in 34 volumes. Wit Studio (seasons 1-3) and MAPPA animated the anime adaptation which recently ended after 90 episodes and 2 specials.
