Voice actress Aya Hirano and actor Masashi Taniguchi confirmed their marriage on Wednesday via statements on their official social media accounts. The duo expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from their fans and promised to continue doing their best as artists moving forward.
Aya Hirano is a voice actress, actress, and singer popularly known for her roles as Haruhi Suzumiya in the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, Misa Amane in Death Note, Konata Izumi in Lucky Star, and Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail. She won the Voice Acting Award at the 2007 Tokyo Anime Awards, the Best Newcomer Award at the 1st Seiyu Awards in 2007, and the Best Lead Actress Award at the 2nd Seiyu Awards in 2008.
Masashi Taniguchi is an actor who is popularly known for Nagare Tatsumi/GoBlueIi in Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive and Future Ultraman Decker in Ultraman Decker. Additionally, he played the roles of Jin Takayama/Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha in Kamen Rider Amazons and Bahato/Kamen Rider Falchion in Kamen Rider Saber.
The two actors had previously collaborated in the Chainsaw Man stage play, with Hirano taking on the character of Makima and Taniguchi portraying Kishibe.
