Classroom of the Elite Season 2 released a preview trailer and images for episode 5 along with the title and synopsis. The fifth episode is scheduled for August 1 and the title quotes a phrase from Lectures on the History of Moral Philosophy in England by English polymath William Whewell: “Every failure is a step to success“.
The newly released preview images for the fifth episode shows characters including Suzune Horikita’s brother: Manabu Horikita, along with Suzune Horikita herself, Kikyo Kushida, Arisu Sakayanagi, Kei Karuizawa, and Kiyotaka Ayanokoji.

Classroom of the Elite Season 2 Preview Trailer and Images for Episode 4
Episode 4 depicted students’ training for the upcoming sports festival. The synopsis describes the next episode as:
Ayanokoji has suspicions about Kushida. He brings Horikita and Kushida together in the name of observing other classes. Horikita takes an unexpected action then. On the sports festival’s day, the Red team gets off to a good start thanks to Horikita and Sudo’s contributions, but Ayanokoji on the other hand has a cold outlook on the results.
The light novel’s author Shogo Kinugasa is writing the scripts for the preview trailers and this week’s preview features mainly students from Class-C including Kakeru Ryuen, and Class-A’s Kohei Katsuragi: “It looks like Suzune’s class will have a traitor,” Ryuen begins and points out that it is a result of “lack of disciplining subordinates.” Obedient Daichi Ishizaki applauds his boss’s thoughts in a sincere tone. Seeing the reaction makes Satoru Kaneda praise the leader’s perfect job on the well-trained Ishizaki, and it’s followed by the boss’s command to give paw. The Class-C student instantly obeys it with a dog-like obedient voice. Although he continues to command Katsuragi to sit, Katsuragi harshly holds it off that he is of Class-A and there is no way such an order will be accepted. “Really? But your face was telling me you wanted me to give you an order.” Ryuen arrogantly says. “I’d rather run naked around the academy than work under you,” Katsuragi refuses again. The leader of Class-C says in anticipation “I’ll make sure to remember your word“. Ishizaki states the episode’s title and concludes this week’s preview trailer: “Stay tuned for the day when Katsuragi runs naked around in the school!“. Shogo Kinugasa writes Classroom of the Elite light novel series with art by Shunsaku Tomose. The novel currently consists of two parts, Year 1 and Year 2. Classroom of the Elite Season 2 is covering Year 1. Studio Lerche is animating.
