Classroom of the Elite Season 4 revealed the Episode 2 preview, ahead of the episode’s May 27 premiere. The episode teases a fight between Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Tsubasa Nanase, as well as showing numerous other characters who will be appearing. The first 4 episodes released all at once, making for a 90-minute special premiere of the new season.

“Day 7 of the deserted island survival exam.

The shortest route to the designated area for Ayanokoji’s group was through the mountains. With rain seeming imminent and the route being dangerous, Ayanokōji suggested taking a detour instead. However, at Nanase’s strong insistence, they attempted to cross the mountain.

After finally reaching the summit, Nanase reveals something to Ayanokoji.”

The anime is an adaptation of Shogo Kinugasa’s Classroom of the Elite light novels. The first season premiered in 2017 and had 12 episodes. Season 2 was announced in March 2022, and it ran for 13 episodes in the Summer 2022 anime season. Season 3 was delayed from its original schedule and ended up premiering in January 2024, also getting a total of 13 episodes.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, and they describe the story:
Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it’s said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school’s problem children.
What’s more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class.
One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school…
