Crunchyroll Celebrates Studio BONES' 25th Anniversary With Four-Part Documentary

BONES 25: DREAMING FORWARD, a four-part documentary series, is coming to Crunchyroll on February 13. The documentary, created by Crunchyroll and French production company DeltaRocket, aims to celebrate the iconic studio alongside its 25th-anniversary project – Metallic Rogue original anime. BONES 25: DREAMING FORWARD explores the creation of the studio and its most legendary series. The series was shot entirely in Japan and includes four 24-minute parts – “The History of Bones” “Style and Originality,” “Successful Adaptation,” and “Metallic Rouge: The Future of Bones.” More than 30 personalities are featured throughout the episodes, including Masahiko Minami (studio president), ONE (the author of Mob Psycho 100), Shinichiro Watanabe (Director), Kafka Asagiri (Bungo Stray Dogs creator), and Yutaka Izubuchi (Conceptual Author and Series Composition of Metallic Rouge) and Motonobu Hori of (Director of Metallic Rouge).

Masahiko Minami – Founder and President of BONES

Studio Bones was founded in October of 1998. It is known for work on franchises such as Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood included), Ouran High School Host Club, Mob Psycho 100, Bungo Stray Dogs, Sk8 the Infinity, My Hero Academia, The Case Study of Vanitas and many more. The studio recently announced that it will be working on an anime adaptation of late Cocoa Fujiwara‘s Katsute Maho Shojo to Aku wa Tekitai Shiteita (Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies) manga.
