Demon Slayer: Kimetsu Academy Anime Shorts Now Available on Crunchyroll

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba spin-off Junior High and High School!! Kimetsu Academy Story is now available on Crunchyroll in select regions. There are a total of seven episodes, each 1-3 minutes long. The story is set in an alternate universe in which Tanjiro and his friends attend the Kimetsu Academy. The latest installment in the Demon Slayer franchise, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village, is coming to North America on March 3. The special screening consists of episodes 10-11 of the anime’s Entertainment District Arc as well as the extended version of the first episode of the highly anticipated Swordsmith Village Arc (third season). The third season of the TV anime will premiere in April.

Demon Slayer is based on a manga by Koyoharu Gotoge. It ran from 2016 to 2020 in the Weekly Shonen Jump and ended after 205 chapters, compiled into 23 volumes. It received an anime adaptation by the studio Ufotable in 2019 and quickly became a world-known phenomenon. Yesterday, it revealed a special promotional video dedicated to the Twelve Moons.

The first season had 26 episodes and was followed by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train movie in 2020. The movie was an enormous success, both in Japan and overseas. Season 2 of Demon Slayer started in October of 2021 with a TV version of the Mugen Train arc. The movie was adapted into 7 episodes and it included a special first episode that wasn’t part of the movie. The second part of the second season was the Entertainment District Arc, which introduced a new Hashira – Tengen Uzui.
