DOTA: Dragon's Blood Anime Announced By Netflix

Netflix has announced an anime series based on the popular video game DOTA 2. They are collaboration with Valve (video game studio), and the title is DOTA: Dragon’s Blood. It will have 8 episodes and premiere on March 25 this year. You can also check out the trailer:

Ashley Edward Miller will be the producer (known for X-Men: First Class, Thor), while Studio MIR (The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender) will handle the animation production.

The story for the anime goes:

The upcoming fantasy series tells the story of Davion. A renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world. Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events much larger than he could have ever imagined.

Netflix already announced a bunch of new anime series for this year besides DOTA. They will work with multiple studios and bring stuff like The Way of the Househusband, High-Rise Invasion, Godzilla Singular Point, among others. The platform is increasing its anime selection, which the fans surely appreciate (their users who also like anime).
