Crunchyroll announced that the Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO movie will arrive to theaters worldwide starting this August, along with a new trailer and English cast. The film will be available in both English dub and subtitled and will arrive in more than 2300 theaters in the United States and Canada on August 19, with tickets going on sale from July 22. This is the first truly globally-distributed theatrical release for Crunchyroll, who will distribute it in North America. Internationally, the film will be distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. The film released in Japan on June 11, and Crunchyroll describes the story:
