The much-anticipated DanMachi Season 4 has received a new trailer during the Dan Memo Fes 2022. The anime will premiere on July 22, 2022. Hideki Tachibana is directing the series at studio J.C. Staff. You can watch the video below:
The video features the opening song of the series, titled “Sky lantern“, by Sajou no Hana. Saori Hayami is performing the ending song titled “Guide”. Inori Minase and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will be reprising their roles as the main characters, Hestia and Bell Cranell. The returning cast of the series also includes Akeno Watanabe (Aisha Belka), Wakana Kowaka (Daphne Lauros), Yuka Iguchi (Hitachi Chigusa), yumi Watanabe (Cassandra Illion), Saori Hayami (Ryu Lion), Saori Onishi (Ais Wallenstein), Chinatsu Akasaki (Mikoto Yamato), Uchida (Liliruca Arde, Haruka Chisuge (Haruhime Sanjouno), and Yoshimasa Hosoya (Welf Crozz).
New characters also appeared in the trailer:
- Saya Fukuzumi as Marie
- Takaaki Uchino as Dormul Bolster
- Taito Ban as Luvis

The anime is based on Fujino Onori’s Danjon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Daro ka (Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in the Dungeon?) light novel series. SB Creative has been publishing it since 2013, with Suzuhito Yasuda’s illustrations, and it currently has 17 volumes in circulation. In the same year, Square Enix started serializing a manga adaptation by Kunieda in Young Gangan magazine, and as of now, it has 13 volumes available. Yen Press is publishing the original DanMachi light novels series in English. Season 4 will start at volume 12, and you can read the synopsis below:
