The new Dragon Ball movie finally has a full title – Dragon Ball Super: Superhero. In addition to the title reveal, a teaser PV was also revealed.
The news came during a Comic-Con 2021 panel dedicated to Dragon Ball. Guests for the panel were Masako Nozawa (Goku’s voice actor), Akio Iyoku (executive producer for the series, and also an editor for Akira Toriyama), and Norihiro Hayashida (producer who worked on Dragon Ball). In addition to the teaser, a new movie character was introduced. The character is doesn’t have a name yet:
We also got to see Krillin, Pan, and Piccolo, who all have some minor changes in their appearances:
The upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Superhero movie is releasing in 2022. Toei Animation is once again producing, while Akira Toriyama (creator of DB series) is writing the story for the movie. This is the first Dragon Ball project after Broly movie from 2018.
Dragon Ball Super anime series aired from 2015 to 2018 and had 131 episodes. Crunchyroll licensed the anime and describes the plot as:
