Duke of Death and His Maid Finale: Love & Origins

The season finale for the rom-com series Duke of Death and His Maid finally premiered, and it concluded the series with very wholesome yet nerve-wracking moments! There couldn’t be a better way to end the first season of this show.

Also, please be aware of spoiler-filled content. Moreover, the good news is that the series will have a sequel!

The Homecoming

Now that the series has concluded, Bocchan received a letter from the central estate to visit his mother. It is time for Bocchan and his mother to face each other!

Alice also tagged along and visited all the other maids and servants of the estate. On the other hand, Viola and Walter accompanied Bocchan to their mother’s room. However, his mother ordered him to call it a day and said that they shall speak tomorrow.

Origins of the Curse

The following day, Viola brought Bocchan to the spot where an unknown witch cursed him. What’s more, it is that he was looking for four-leaf clovers right in front of a grave!

The very place where his life started to change for eternity – a grave. After visiting the grave, Viola and Bocchan encountered their mother and stated that they will talk during dinner.

A Family Reunited

Dinner came, and it was finally time for Bocchan and his mother to have a sincere talk. His mother is concerned about his curse and their father’s current state. With their father hospitalized, their mother has to select the heir for that family immediately.

With that said, Bocchan was given until spring to cure his curse. But that’s not all, Bocchan finally went straight for the win and confessed the truth about her feelings for Alice! Despite their mother turning down such absurd hope, Bocchan strengthened his will and declared that he will marry Alice.

I’d say the series’ ending left me with a lot of mixed emotions. I felt nervous meeting Bocchan’s mother for the first time. But when Bocchan stood up for Alice and their relationship, I’d indeed felt enlightened that there’s hope!

The transition of emotions from nerve-wracking to wholesome and powerful moments are just the best way to conclude the first season. Let’s all wish the production their best of luck and vote for the series here in our weekly poll!
