Fate/Strange Fake Reveals New Trailer, Opening Song and Main Cast

The upcoming Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn anime project has released a short teaser trailer for the TV special, along with the opening song, “FAKEit” performed by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Laco. You can watch the new trailer below:

Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn – New Teaser Trailer

Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn will be produced by A-1 Pictures, who worked on Fate/Apocrypha in 2017. The anime is based on Ryogo Narita’s light novel series of the same name, published by Dengeki Bunko, and takes place in the same universe as the Fate/stay night anime and movie (originally visual novels published by TYPE-MOON).

Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn will follow a “True” and “False” Holy Grail war that takes place in the United States, seventy years after the Third Holy Grail war. The main cast has been announced as follows:

  • Kana Hanazawa as Ayaka Sajo
  • Yuki Ono as Saber
  • Sumire Morohoshi as Tine Chelc
  • Tomokazu Seki as Gilgamesh (Archer)
  • Yuu Kobayashi as Enkidu (Lancer)
  • Aoi Koga as Hill Camellia
  • Wataru Hatano as Orlando Reeve
  • Showtaro Morikubo as Caster
  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Flatt Escardos
  • Kenyuu Horiuchi as Berserker
  • Tatsumaru Tachibana as Jester Karturei
  • Lynn as Assassin
  • Maaya Uchida as Francesca Prelati
  • Junya Enoki as Faldeus Dioland
  • Shunsuke Sakuya as Langal
  • Daisuke Namikawa as Waver Velvet (Lord El-Melloi II)

The preliminary English dubbed cast has also been announced:

  • Anjali Kunapaneni as Ayaka
  • Ben Balmaceda as Saber
  • David Vincent as Gilgamesh (Archer)
  • Marin Miller as Enkidu (Lancer)

Crunchyroll is set to stream the special in both sub and English dub, however, they have not yet committed to the same release date as Japan. The special will have an exclusive premiere at this year’s Anime Expo.
