Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End TV anime revealed the preview for episode 8 titled “Frieren the Slayer” on Tuesday. Crunchyroll, Bilibili Global, Muse Asia, and Netflix are streaming the upcoming episode which premieres on Friday, October 27. The synopsis of the next episode is as follows:
Frieren is captured and thrown in jail for attempting to unleash magic on Lügner and his men who have offered peace to Count Granat. Lügner considers Frieren dangerous, and Drath, who works for Aura, makes an attempt to end Frieren’s life. Fern and Starck also take action to save Frieren.
Keiichiro Saito (Bocchi the Rock!) is directing the series at studio Madhouse (A Place Further Than The Universe). Tomohiro Suzuki (One Punch Man) is the scriptwriter, Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) is the music composer, and Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny) is the character designer. Atsumi Tanezaki voices the titular character Frieren while YOASOBI performs the opening theme song “Yuusha” and milet sings the ending theme song titled “Anytime Anywhere.”

After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
