Gen Urobuchi's Eisen Flügel Novel Gets Movie Adaptation by A-1 Pictures

Gen Urobuchi’s Eisen Flügel novel series is getting a movie adaptation by studio A-1 Pictures. Originally published in 2009, the novel featured art by Higashiguchi Chuuou and was also adapted into a manga series illustrated by Anno Nanakamado. The first trailer has been revealed:

The staff listing is showing off some big industry names. In addition to Gen Urobuchi, who rose to fame through his work on Fate/Zero, Aldnoah Zero, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Psycho-Pass, among others, the staff also includes:

The plot is set in a world in which dragons exist and rule the skies. The humans dream of being able to take over someday but are sadly unable. However, a young pilot named Karl decides to challenge the fastest dragon. With the help of revolutionary new aircraft he plans to challenge the creature that can fly as supersonic speeds.
