The upcoming Go! Go! Loser Ranger! anime adaptation revealed a second trailer, key visual, and a theme song by Tatsuya Kitani. The opening is titled “Jikai Yokoku” and it will be featured in the anime which is slated to premiere on April 7. Disney will be streaming.
Yostar Pictures is animating the series with Keiichi Sato as the director. Keichiro Ohchi is in charge of the screenplay. Kahoko Kosei is the character designer while Kenji Hayama is credited as the animation supervisor. The previously announced main cast includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Footsoldier D, Daishi Kajita as Hibiki Sakurama, and Yumika Yano as Yumeko Suzukiri. Azumi Waki, Yuichi Nakamura, Hina Yomiya, Akari Kito, Seiichiro Yamashita, and Hiroyuki Yoshino will also be appearing in the Go! Go! Loser Ranger! anime.
The Go! Go! Loser Ranger (stylized as Go! Go! Loser Ranger!)) anime adaptation is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Negi Haruba. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since February 2021. Kodansha USA has licensed it in English, describing the plot as:
When the Monster Army invaded Earth thirteen years ago, the Divine Dragon Rangers rose up to stop them! With the war raging on, these great heroes are mankind’s last hope!
…or are they?
In truth, the invaders were subjugated within a year, forced to continue to crank out a monster a week for the Rangers to crush in front of their adoring fans! But one monster has had enough. Something has to change! He’ll rebel against the might of the Dragon Rangers and destroy them all…from the inside!
