Golden Kamuy Season 4 revealed a new key visual ahead of the October 3 premiere. Studio Brain’s Base is animating the sequel.

Golden Kamuy anime is based on a manga by Satoru Noda. The manga started serialization in Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2014. Geno Studio animated the first two seasons of the anime adaptation, which aired in 2018 and 2019. Season 3 (also Geno Studio) followed in 2020.
Viz Media licensed the manga in 2016 and describes the plot as:
In the early twentieth century, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi “Immortal” Sugimoto scratches out a meager existence during the postwar gold rush in the wilderness of Hokkaido. When he stumbles across a map to a fortune in hidden Ainu gold, he sets off on a treacherous quest to find it.
